Cedars Endo were preparing to move into their new endodontic surgery in Ascot and required a signage package that would establish their identity across the new premises.
Matt Black designed and produced the external and internal signage alongside the window manifestations, allowing the visual identity to be considered across the building as a whole rather than as a collection of individual signs.
The result is a restrained signage scheme that gives the practice a clear presence externally while carrying the same visual language through the glazing and into the interior.

Giving the building an identity.
The external signage needed to give Cedars Endo a clear presence without overpowering the architecture of the new practice.
Individual lettering was manufactured from ACM and finished in a bronze-copper effect, introducing warmth and material character to an otherwise restrained identity.
Rather than relying on a conventional signboard, the individual lettering allows the branding to sit more naturally within the elevation of the building.
Material matters.
The bronze-copper finish was selected to give the external lettering depth and warmth while retaining the understated character required for a specialist healthcare practice.
The finish changes subtly with the available light, allowing the signage to feel more architectural than graphic.
Privacy without closing the space.
Privacy was an important consideration for the treatment rooms and clinical environment.
Mactac frosted window film was used to obscure views where required while maintaining natural light through the glazing.
Black Mactac vinyl was then used for the additional graphic and information elements, creating contrast against the frosting and continuing the Cedars Endo identity across the windows.
The manifestation therefore performs both a practical and visual role within the overall signage scheme.
From outside to inside.
The signage language established externally was carried through into the interior of the new practice.
Internal signage was designed as part of the same system, helping the space feel considered and consistent rather than allowing the branding to stop at the front door.
One identity. One environment.
By considering the external signage, glazing and internal elements together, Cedars Endo has a signage scheme that feels consistent throughout the new practice.
Materials, finishes and positioning were treated as part of the environment rather than as separate branding exercises, creating a calm and coherent result appropriate for a specialist healthcare setting.
From individual signs to complete signage packages, we work with businesses, designers and contractors to develop signage around the building, brand and people using it.
