Niceteeth dental signage
Harefield · Dental practice
Matt Black designed, manufactured and installed signage for Niceteeth in Harefield, including a rebuilt timber fascia, white acrylic lettering, trough lighting, a projecting sign, window graphics and internal branding.

Considered from the fascia to the finishing touches.
Niceteeth needed a coordinated signage package for its dental practice in Harefield. We worked with the customer from the first material discussions through to manufacture and installation, bringing the fascia, projecting sign, glazing and internal wall branding together.
The work involved more than fitting new letters. The existing timber fascia was rotten and too small for the design the customer wanted. Before the signage could go up, we needed to build a new foundation for it.
Start with the options.
The customer was unsure which materials and letter thicknesses would best suit the practice. We began with a mood board showing the different options, giving those early conversations a clear visual reference.
Materials, finishes and fixing methods were discussed together. The final choice was white gloss acrylic in 5mm and 3mm thicknesses, giving the signage a crisp finish and a clear contrast against the dark fascia.

A bigger fascia.
A fresh start.
The old fascia could not support the new brief. Its timber had deteriorated, and its size restricted the sign the customer wanted.
We built and installed a larger timber fascia before fitting the new signage. The fascia sign and trough light established the main frontage, with a projecting sign carrying the Niceteeth name out towards people approaching along the street.

Care with the building beneath.
The condition of the older red brick was the main installation challenge. Some areas were soft, making the fixing approach an important part of the work.
With the premises in a conservation area, we needed to consider both the signage and the fabric it was being attached to. Careful decisions about positioning and fixing were part of bringing the design onto the building.
The identity continues.
Window frosting and decals completed the shopfront, with contact details and Invisalign provider graphics applied to the glazing. The frosted lower section provides a degree of privacy while leaving the upper window clear.
Inside, a Niceteeth wall sign carried the identity into the practice. Exterior signage, glazing and internal branding were considered as parts of the same project.

One coordinated frontage.
From the first mood board to the final installation, this project brought design decisions and practical building work together. The finished scheme combines a rebuilt fascia, white acrylic lettering, trough lighting, a projecting sign, window graphics and an internal wall sign, giving Niceteeth a consistent presence from the street into the practice.
