SIGNAGE + WAYFINDING · COMMERCIAL PROPERTY

Yeobridge Trade Park

One site. One signage system.

Bringing order to a working trade park.

Yeobridge Trade Park required a coordinated programme of signage across a busy multi-tenant commercial site.

Approximately 18 signs were designed and installed across the estate, covering identification, direction, speed control, operating information, safety messaging and individual business visibility.

Rather than treating these as a collection of unrelated signs, the project considered how information should work across the site as a whole.

THE BRIEF

A signage programme several years in the making.

The trade park had been looking to address its signage requirements for several years but had struggled to progress the project with a suitable delivery partner.

The requirement extended across the site: identify the estate and its occupiers, communicate operational information, manage vehicle behaviour and provide clear safety messaging.

Our role was to turn those individual requirements into a practical signage programme and advise on the most appropriate approach for each application.

THE APPROACH

Different information. One coordinated programme.

A working trade park needs signage to perform several different jobs simultaneously.

Visitors need to identify the site and locate individual businesses. Drivers need clear directional and speed information. Delivery vehicles need operational instructions. Safety information needs to be visible at the points where it matters.

The signage programme was therefore developed around the different types of information required across the estate rather than applying one generic sign format everywhere.

IDENTIFICATION

Making the site and its occupiers easier to find.

Entrance and directory signage provides a clear introduction to Yeobridge Trade Park while identifying the businesses operating within it.

Additional fascia signage across the buildings reinforces individual tenant identification and helps establish the structure of the estate once visitors are inside the site.

MOVEMENT

Information where decisions are made.

Directional and speed-control signage was positioned around the estate to communicate clearly with drivers as they move through the site.

The objective was straightforward: provide the necessary information at the relevant point without adding unnecessary visual clutter to an already busy commercial environment.

OPERATIONAL + SAFETY

Clear instructions for a working environment.

The programme also included signage communicating site rules and operational requirements.

Speed limits, HGV restrictions, waiting restrictions, forklift warnings and opening-hour information were incorporated at the relevant locations around the estate.

These signs needed to prioritise clarity and immediate comprehension while remaining part of the wider site signage programme.

BUILDING IDENTIFICATION

Extending the system across the estate.

Building-mounted fascia signage was used to identify individual occupiers and reinforce the Yeobridge Trade Park identity across the main elevations.

The repeated placement of signage creates a clearer visual structure across the buildings while allowing each business to retain its own identity.

MATERIAL + DELIVERY

One practical specification across multiple applications.

The signage was produced using aluminium composite panels with printed and laminated graphics, providing a practical exterior specification across the different applications required throughout the trade park.

Where existing sign structures remained suitable for use, they were retained rather than replaced unnecessarily. Selected sign posts were prepared and repainted, extending their useful life and integrating them into the refreshed signage scheme.

Installation was coordinated across the site, including freestanding signage, existing structures, perimeter fencing and building elevations.

THE RESULT

A clearer identity across the site.

The completed programme brings together approximately 18 individual signs across Yeobridge Trade Park, giving the estate a more coherent approach to identification, direction and operational information.

From the main tenant directory through to building identification, speed controls and safety messaging, each element has a specific role within the wider site.

A long-standing signage requirement was ultimately resolved as one coordinated programme, from design and advice through to manufacture and installation.
